Entrepreneur Kings – Queens And Business Nations

Saturday, May 31st, 2008

Business is an amazing topic. But, is business like nations? Are business men and woman the kings and queens that we have seen in the past? Some businesses do amass such revenue that it dwarfs many countries total GDP! Join me as we take a look at whether entrepreneurs are kings and queens and if there businesses are like nations.

A king or queen used to run the country – there nation. They would rule, and have control over many. Though this was the case, people did have a choice whether they wanted to stay or go. These kings would have its people and the country would produce revenue.

Today kings and queens are not as popular as in yester year. There are no new borders and nations springing up. Though a few new countries maybe formed and even some new kings and queens come to the world, there it is not a trend that in the future there will be more!

So, with this basis the borders, the status of people is pretty much going to be same. The question comes – with that thirst for leadership, and doing things, what vent is available? I believe this vent today is in the form of businesses.

Take a look. If we take for example a business such as Wal-Mart, we find a revenue of $378.80 billion in 2007. This is same as some nations produce; in fact it is more than some of the smallest nations. Next we turn to the amount of employers. This business has 2.1 million (2008) employees. This kind of figure is like a nation. Imagine that!

More examples are Microsoft which produces Microsoft Windows and Exxon-Mobile which delivers petroleum to all, all around the world. These figures from these companies are also amazing. For example Exxon-Mobile had revenues of $404.552 billion with over 106,000 employees. Again this level is a level which many countries of the world wish for! Microsoft has 79,000 employees.

Businesses also act like kings and queens in there sense of operation. They have to do diplomacy! They have to negotiate and create synergistic partnerships with other corporations.

Some countries (whoops I meant companies!) get eaten by the competition, some eat the competition, and others can work in harmony with there fellow bordering companies. There is a lot of pun with this topic, and it is interesting how they go together.

Dictating business men and woman generally don’t last a long time in business, same as terrible leaders of nations. Good leaders lead good companies and they grow, and grow. Pretty much like countries.

As you sit on your office throne! Remember that as a king or queen, you are a leader. You must benefit the people, and this includes your employees, your customers, and everyone else who is connected with your business.

You really can produce great results, when you know what you want, and have a simple system to get there. For more information about how I set smart goals, and achieve them in record time visit:

Daily Challenges For Every Entrepreneur

Saturday, May 31st, 2008

Prepare For Disaster

There may be an instance where you hire a person for a very important position, but the person simply resigns – after all the money you spend on them during the training process. This situation can be very stressful, but you can reduce your stress by being prepared.

You should be mentally geared for such developments and take them in stride. Be prepared for emergency situations. When it comes to your employees, make sure that every one of them is cross-trained in at least 2 other departments.

Business Realities

Always submit a proposal to a prospective customer after taking into account the cost of the employees involved in the project and the investment in providing the product or service, with a little margin. Consider the cost of labor and material.

But, in spite of this, if the contract goes to some other company and at half the price you quoted, this is a reality that you will have to live with. Just like you can’t please all the people all the time, you will lose customers to competitors sometimes.

If this happens to you, it isn’t total disaster – simply the cost of doing business. Don’t be afraid to learn from the loss of a customer – ask them why they chose the other company and figure out what you can do to get their business the next time around.

Attitude

As an entrepreneur, a lot of your success (or failure) will have to do with your attitude. It’s easy to be optimistic when things are going well, but what do you do when things go wrong?

By keeping a positive attitude, you are mentally expecting success. If you have other employees, keep in mind that their mindset about the business and how things are going will be greatly dictated by the way you react – to everything.

Finances

To pay your employees and vendors in all circumstances is truly one of the toughest parts of being an entrepreneur. Sometimes, your only option is to use some of your savings and invest in the company to bridge the gap. If this is the case for you, try to find alternate sources of financing, such as a small business loan or a loan from relatives.

If all else fails, consider a home equity loan or second mortgage.

Gradual Success

Sometimes entrepreneurs meet with big-time success overnight – but this happens only rarely. When it comes to entrepreneurship, be diligent and persistent, and you will eventually enjoy the sweet smell of success.

Working at Home Making Money on eBay for Work at Home Moms

Friday, May 30th, 2008

Often, the income they earn working at home making money on eBay exceeds what their offline paycheck would be if they had to place their children in an expensive daycare facility. Plus, work at home moms have the added peace of mind knowing their kids are in good hands – their own!

Working at home making money on eBay as a work at home mom doesn’t mean you just clean out your closets and sell the same items that you’d place outdoors for a weekend garage sale. It’s a bona fide business opportunity that can help you create a multi-million dollar empire, if your goals and dreams take you that far.

If you truly want to catch a break working at home making money on eBay as a work at home mom, then you want to map out a business plan and then get started with your own virtual store on this giant auction site. It’s a good idea to find a proven, successful system to follow, this will increase your chances for success, and also cut your leaning curve down dramatically.

You may be able to start with a few items already in your possession, but then you want to branch out and sell multiple quantities of the same items by using wholesalers or distributors who can help you amass a stockpile of goods to sell while you’re working at home making money on eBay as a work at home mom.

When deciding what to sell on eBay, make sure you are researching your target market. It makes more sense to find what the people are searching for, then find a product to sell. When you find the high search counts, and low competition, it’s easy to make money on eBay because the people are coming to purchase, credit card in hand.

Unfortunately, many people are operating from a small apartment and don’t have the space to carry a large inventory. If this is your situation, then you might want to consider using a third party dropshipper. This way, you can market goods on eBay but the dropshipper will deliver the items to your customers directly, without you having to stock or ship a single thing!

The beauty of a dropshipper is when they package and ship to your customers, it has your company name on it, so it looks like it came directly from you. A legitimate dropshipper will never ask you to pay to join. If they are asking for money upfront, chances are they are not the actual dropshipper, but rather a middle man in the process taking their cut. One of the best dropship locaters is – World Wide Brands. They have a rock solid reputation, and have been around for a while.

Some parents have come to realize that working at home making money on eBay as a work at home mom is highly lucrative, resulting in both mom and dad quitting their 9-5 jobs to focus on their eBay pursuits full time. This doesn’t happen overnight, so be patient and focus on your business plan of action. Constant learning and daily consistent action are the main keys to success.

As your business grows from a spring cleaning bonanza to a one-stop-shop market on the net, you’ll want to invest in better tools that help you organize and manage your growth as you transition from a work at home mom making money on eBay for a living to a global corporation with unlimited earning potential.

Hot Dog Carts — How To Start Your Own Business With A Hot Dog Cart

Friday, May 30th, 2008

The food service business is always growing. People will always need to eat food. The new generation buys more from vendors and does far less cooking at home, and buys more prepared food from vendors. The future trend is more take out and fast food.

You can catch this rising trend and ride it with a hot dog cart business.

So why doesn’t everyone start a business with hot dog carts?

Here’s a few reasons why:

1. They don’t know how to begin.
2. They don’t know how to start a commercial enterprise.
3. They get tangled in the health regulations an general red tape.
4. They are fearful of doing something different and unknown.

Where do you start?

To begin you need to find a place where you can set up a hot dog cart.

The perfect location has lots of foot traffic, should cost next to nothing to rent, be very visible and have no other hot dog carts.

That may seem impossible but take a look around, it might be easier than you think. Common locations for a hot dog cart are in or near:

* busy parks, the zoo, a beach, or recreational areas.
* industrial parks and factories.
* parking lots of large malls.
* bus, subway and train stations.
* the local bar strip
* downtown parking lot or street.
* schools, colleges or universities.
* office buildings.

Once you have found a few possible places, you need find out if you can put your hot dog cart there. Check with near by business owners ask them if you can put your hot dog cart on their property. Many will gladly have a quality provider of food close by, both to feed their own employees and to potentially draw customers. Also check with the local municipality for by-laws dealing with setting up on public property.

How do you start a new business?

You have to register your business with the appropriate parts of the government. They are most concerned with what sort of business you are going to be and, more importantly, how you will give them their tax money. Also you will need to choose a business name. After you have registered your business with both federal and state governments then you can get a license from the city government. The local authorities may require you to get a permit before allowing you to set your cart up on public property such as a park or a street.

You will also need to find out what the health department in you r area requires of people working in food service. They will tell you what foods you can and cannot serve out of a mobile food facility like a hot dog cart. They likely will tell you what equipment you need to have on your hot dog cart to make it legal as well. This important information helps with selecting the right model of hot dog cart as you will have a minimum set of features to work with. Your regional health department may also require that you take training courses in safe food handling. Last, they may need to physically inspect your hot dog cart to see that it follows all regulations.

What if you are too afraid to try something new?

Everyone is afraid of the new and unknown. That is human nature. Do not let that fear decide for you and steer you away from a successful business. Every business our there started because someone else got over their fears and took the first step. You already have done that by learning more about what it takes to get started. Don’t stop now.

Opening An Internet Auto Parts Store

Friday, May 30th, 2008

When you are online, you may run across the great looking and informative auto parts stores. They are a very good stimulus and example for running your own store. But how can you start it? What will you need?

The first thing to start with the online auto parts store in the Internet, is to draw a step-by-step plan. This is something that can guide you through the twists and turns of the online marketplace. Thus, when you are getting started and getting to the points that are hard to work though, you will be able to embody your undertakings without any problems.

The next thing that you probably will have to specify is where you are going to get your auto parts from to sell in your Internet store. This can be a really hard decision to go through, but you can find some places that will offer you auto parts at a wholesale price. You have to look for them and this can be the most difficult part of your business. Many places are not advertised and you will have to dig for the information that you may need.

Once you have products to sell, you will need a storefront. It isn’t an exhausting work at all. You only have to find a service provider that renders all the necessary services. Some server companies are difficult to cooperate with and they have even harder set ups to understand. You can do a simple search on the Internet and then look at the services, prices, set ups, etc, they offer. This will give you an opportunity to understand, whether you’ll be satisfied with collaboration or not. It may also let you know if you are going to capable of navigating your own site and site’s set ups.

Setting up an online auto parts store is not as hard as you may think. You have to have your plan set up, so that you can get your online auto parts store working and keep it “alive”. You are in control of your business and everything you change or improve. This is your “brainchild” and you’re responsible for everything you do with it. So, hold your breathe and be ready to make your dreams come true. An auto parts store is going to be an excellent experience in free enterprise if you take some time and do it right and as good as you can.

Forming a Corporation or LLC? Learn these 7 Criteria the Company You Choose Must Meet!

Friday, May 30th, 2008

The seven criteria for choosing an entity formation company are:

1. Look for a company that will ask you questions to determine the best entity for your situation-before they quote you a price! Imagine seeing your doctor for a physical. He walks in the room, says hello and goodbye as he hands you a prescription – and never gives you an exam! You might as well have diagnosed yourself by the “dartboard method”.

2. Look for a company that understands-and will explain to you-multi-state taxation rules. These rules affect the state(s) in which your entity will have to register so you can do business. Beware of companies that tout tax savings in a tax-free state when you live and operate your day-to-day business in another state. States like Nevada do have powerful benefits, but tax savings are not typically one of them unless you live and work in Nevada.

3. Look for a company that fully discusses your situation with you, so you know you’re making the best decision about which entity will maximize your outcome. Your “exam” should involve many in-depth, tailored questions, rather than a following a “cookie-cutter” approach. What cures someone else is not necessarily what will cure you! Remember, if you’re looking for “easy”… if you’re looking for minimal effort – expect proportional results – or worse.

4. Look for a company that knows the subtleties. Ask them why 71% of all C-corporations, if audited, would pay 35% tax on all profits earned, along with hefty penalties and interest that might cripple their businesses. Does the company you’re considering know why?

5. Look for a company that weeds out inaccurate information and researches to find what will work best for you. It’s no accident that successful people recognize and take advantage of golden opportunities that others miss. Look for a company willing to take the time to thoroughly analyze your situation, so you can take advantage of your “golden” opportunity.

6. Look for a company that makes sure all your questions are answered before you form your entity. A disturbing trend in the industry is to “get the money now”‘ and promise answers down the road. If a company won’t answer your questions BEFORE you give them your business, chances are good that they won’t be able to answer them AFTER – no matter how many books, tapes, or seminars they offer.

7. Look for a company with current testimonials. The true measure of a company’s customer service record lies in the success of current and past clients. Ask for current testimonials. Many companies present you with client quotes dating back several years. And check the Better Business Bureau to see if they have a complaint history, assuming they qualify for listing. NCP’s testimonials are written by clients about 30 days AFTER incorporating with us!

Wholesale Importing – Doesn’t Have To Be Painful!

Friday, May 30th, 2008

This is the first article in my importing series, and in this installment I want to go over some of the basic facts and make sure we all know what to expect from importing.
Firstly, I want to stress you don’t have to be a large nationwide wholesale and warehousing business to be able to successfully import goods and make money from them.

With the advent of the internet and email you can now find and contact almost any type of foreign manufacturer available. There are many businesses in China and other parts of the Far East producing good quality products that are keen to find new western trade links and if you find the right company they can be quite happy to help you get started in order to progress the business relationship and get further repeat orders.

Having said that there are a few points you need to bear in mind. Firstly most manufacturers only sell in large bulk quantities so in most cases you will need a reasonable amount of capital to invest in your first order and depending on the size of the products you will need somewhere to store them. This doesn’t mean it’s impossible, for example many manufacturers will allow you to make a sample order to inspect the products and delivery cycle which to them will be very small indeed but to you may be as big as you can manage, but if you have done your homework and there is a good market for your stock then once you have the first batch sold you can reinvest the profits to be able to afford the second larger batch.

If you are looking to buy small items such as electrical accessories then storage will not be a problem at all because at that size you can fit them in your garage or spare room for example, but if you want to buy trampolines then you will need some extra space! Storage doesn’t have to be a problem either if there is a good profit in the bulk order then you should have scope to cost in for storage. If you have a look around quite often there will be a local logistics business that will let you have a few racks worth of space for quite a reasonable price, and you may be able to negotiate a package deal including picking up the stock from the docks and taking it into their store.

What I’m trying to get across is that all issues associated with importation can be overcome with good planning and research and you can do it on a much smaller scale without costing it a fortune, if you pick your products carefully the profit potential can be far higher than you might find from a local trade distributor. You may even be able to offer trade prices to smaller eBay businesses and become a distributer for the stock yourself!

There are other issues to consider before importing for the first time so please look out for my next article regarding your legal responsibilities. All of my articles and further video tutorials are available to read on my site listed below.

Finding Insurance Business Opportunity

Thursday, May 29th, 2008

Those looking to start a new booming business should look in a direction that might not seem obvious. An example of this is insurance. The truth of the matter is that americans have more and more need for various kinds of insurances, so when it comes to a great business opportunity, insurance is really becoming the way to go. More and more domains of life are coming under insurances. There has been home insurance and life insurance for a long, long time, but the growing business opportunity insurance world deals with some less frequently purchased insurances.

One such example is wedding insurance. Nobody wants to sink $25,000 into something that is not insured. Enter a new business opportunity insurance, insuring the wedding. While one is at it, he might as well throw in travel insurance for the honeymoon and liability insurance should someone decide to have one too many martinis at the reception and then choose to sue the newlyweds for damages.

The above might sound like a horror story, but unfortunately there are more and more similar cases popping up all over the nation. The fact of the matter is that the business opportunity insurance offers is a great one because more and more people are suing each other. This need to blame is one reason that insurance is such a big thing nowadays. Capitalizing on this trend is easily done through latching on to one of the business opportunity insurance franchises out there. Starting Up Insurance business is a field best left to the experts, so while one becomes an old pro at the insurance game, it is best to work with firms that know the game well.

Before starting up a brand new franchise, it is advisable to spend a period of time working with another firm who has already capitalized on the growing business opportunity insurance selling has to offer. Working with an existing firm gives one the chance to ease into the insurance world in a non overwhelming way. Once the insurance ropes are starting to become old hat, most people develop a feeling for what type of insurance they would like to work in.

If longstanding insurances seem most secure, go for auto or home insurance, if a new boom is more exciting, try travel insurance or wedding insurance. Once a realm is chosen, a heavy advertising campaign is the best way to ensure that a brand new firm gets a large client base right away. Getting a large client base is the best way to make insurance firms a monetarily and professionally successful business right from the start.

Keep overhead low and make sure to cover all of the loopholes so that hidden costs do not pop up and take away the profit margin. Act fast in advertising, sell an insurance that is bound to not get used often, and the recipe is one guaranteed for success. Target the audience most likely to be interested in the services of the new firm in order to maximize your advertising efforts and watch the business take off.
