Beginner Blog Marketing Online

Wednesday, December 24th, 2008

Web logs also known as blogs are one of the newest things on the Internet. They are usually a platform used to share your thoughts and person feelings however, they can also be used for promoting, writing, and publishing. If you are new to blog marketing, there are some important points you should take a look at before starting. Listed in this article I’m going to outline a few of these points in hopes that you can start making money as soon as humanly possible without going through all the red tape and worries that marketing can sometimes bring to the outsider.

Blog marketing is fairly easy if you have a marketing mind. You are going to see that numerous individuals utilize blogs as a journal, and sometimes these blogs that are used for this purpose are not intended to make them money, but merely a way to put their thoughts out there and find others that are going through the same thing. If you have never even had a blog before, the simplest thing that you can do is to start one, and just write in it for a while. This will allow you to learn just what it takes and what it is all about to keep up a blog. When you are just journaling your thoughts and what is on your mind, you have nothing to lose and nothing to gain. You don’t even have to make your blog public if you don’t want others to read what you have to say. That is an individual preference. Still, doing this will let you see how it works. Then, you can move on to trying to promote a product or a service.

Using a blog is usually cheaper than running a website, after all you don’t pay to pay for a domain name, hosting, or any of the other stuff affiliated with websites. Plus when it comes to blogs there are all sorts of websites out there even sites like Xanga and Myspace can be used for this option. Once you have your very own blog you and only you are in charge of what goes on the blog, so really the sky is the limit on this. Whether you want a blog that does website critiques and takes nominations, or you want to sell things that you make out of your home, the choice is yours. Using a blog to get the word out about whatever you want to is a great way to market and promote something!

Blog marketing can potentially make you a load of money, in fact there are people out there making a six figure income with this! Obviously this isn’t done over night and takes some time, so if you are a bigger blogger don’t worry about the 6 figure income right now, instead focus on your content, start small, build it up and keep the content consistent. Blog marketing is a fun thing to learn. If you can sell items from a blog, you can sell them anywhere. Making money by using a blog is one of the most satisfying things that you will ever learn how to do. Just do not expect to make money over night, know that you have to work at it consistently every day, and remember to put into it what you want to get out of it. This is a give and take relationship. You can’t just make one or two blogs and expect it to generate large sums of money for you! Work it!

These are all regarded as “easy” paths to take in order to make money online. In some of these ways you will have to invest a little money, but not very much, especially for the amount of money you will be producing! Alright none of these and I repeat none of these are in any particular order!

Cash Gifting – These websites allow you to pay a particular sum of money to get into the “business.” Cash gifting is an easy way for people to help people. Individuals will help you make a particular amount of money and then you will help them make a particular amount of money. Note this doesn’t occur over night, sometimes it takes 30 to 90 days to really see any profit, but in most cases more often than not you will see a proficient amount of money being made here! .

Affiliate Marketing – Affiliate marketing is a method of promoting Internet businesses (merchants/advertisers) in which an affiliate (publisher) is paid back for every visitor, subscriber, customer, and/or sale provided through his/her attempts.

Domain Parking – If you have a domain, you could be earning possible money from it. This is one of the simplest ways to make money online! If you have a domain simply join a site such as Sedo, Parked or Fabulous, park your domain, point your DNS settings at your registrar to the parking site, direct visitors and voila that’s it. Of course you can’t tell people to do searches on your site, or tell them to click links but you can earn good money from this! See, ads or “feeds” are placed on the domain with feeds from sites like Google and Yahoo. When people do searches on your site google pays the domain company and the domain company pays you a certain percentage of that money. Pretty easy. Check out Parked, they are THE best!

Freelance – This is pretty simple. If you can provide a service to someone, you can sell it online. Information About Affiliate Marketing And Pay Per Click

Wednesday, December 24th, 2008

I ask the age old question; “Do you want to make more money? Do you want to turn your computer into a cash cow?” Well it is possible but it won’t happen overnight, it takes a lot of hard work but will pay off in the end! Do you have a website that doesn’t seem to be working out for you? You keep doing all the things these gurus types tell you to do, but still, you are in the red! This could be easily fixed by joining up with a PPC program that incorporates affiliate marketing! Right now one of the most popular PPC program is Google AdSense. When you sign up your website will have banners and advertisements placed in the open spaced of your site. If someone visits your site and clicks on one of the ads, you get a referral payment. Google takes care of the ad placement allowing you to concentrate on increasing the traffic to your site!

If you have been working on your site for a while, you probably know that one of the best ways to attract traffic is by use of keywords. The wrong keywords used; bad news. The correct keywords used; will have them flocking to your site. AdWords another program associated with Google can help you maximize the keyword usage on your site and will help you receive more quality traffic. However, Google does charge for this service so you want to be sure it is worthwhile it before you buy. You don’t want all of your profits exhausted up by the ad words scheme! The great thing about AdSense, is the ads will be relevant to the content on your site. So if your site is about laptops, you will have ads relevant to laptops on your site. Well, wont this take away from my business? Yes and no. Sometimes if your site isn’t interesting enough people will click the ads, however, clicking the ads does make you money. I like to think of it as a win-win situation. Even if they don’t stay on your site for very long, you still have the chance to make a few bucks off of them through the ads on your site provided by Google. Also, just as a side note; if you don’t like Google for whatever reason, you can also try out many of the other pay per click options available to you such as Yahoo Publisher. It really depends on you, what you like, and which one works the best for you.

If you have several websites that just seem to be doing nothing and making nothing, then look into a pay per click program. Sites such as Google AdSense and yahoo publisher will do most of the difficult work for you. They will place the ads and decide which ads will be best for your site. This will leave you time to do the most important thing; increase your site traffic and eventually your ad revenue. If you have Internet sites, look into pay per click. The service is free so you have nothing to lose and everything to gain!

5 Tips for Closing More Sales

Tuesday, December 23rd, 2008

The following 5 tips have been proven to work time after time to bring in more business and close more sales. Most importantly rather than being manipulative, they offer a common sense approach to business. Think back to your past experiences in each case.

Tip #1: Have you met business people who are so intent on selling they do not listen to you?
In order to close a sale, you have to ask why the other person called, emailed or visited your store in the first place. Something caught their attention. Rather than guessing, Question and Listen. Be direct and ask, What caught your attention?

Once they provide a clue as to why they are talking to you, take time to ask about the challenges they are facing and determine in which areas you are able to help. This serves to build relationships.

Tip #2: Have you ever been uncertain about the exact meaning someone is trying to get across?

The best strategy in this case for closing the sale easily is to clarify their meaning. Most salespeople and entrepreneurs are too embarrassed to ask for clarification. They believe it makes them look stupid. So their problem is compounded by not asking. By the time they finish the conversation their credibility is at an all-time low because they are not on the same page with their prospect and have not built a sales relationship, so the chance for delivering an accepted proposal is next to zero.

By asking, Will you please clarify? you will sound professional and eager to learn the situation of the other party. This will in turn build your relationship and your credibility. Once you have the clarified information, you are able to direct the conversation and the proposal to the interests of your client and greatly increase your chance for closing the sale.

Tip #3: Have you ever been dissatisfied with services delivered because they did not meet your expectations?

Now that you are the selling party, it is best to recall that situation and improve upon it for your clientele. Set all expectations prior to asking for the sale.

Once your prospect describes what is wanted, needed and expected, it is then your turn to address every issue. Proceed to answer each request in the order it was given to you. You must be completely honest about what you can and cannot do, and what you will and will not do. This suggestion will put you in a leadership position and provide you with greater credibility.

By setting expectations ahead of time, you will diminish the potential for disappointment. Instead, your clientele will receive everything they expected and will appreciate your customer service policies and the honest relationship you built with them. These clients will spread good word of mouth and offer referrals.

Tip #4: Have you ever wondered how to make your prospects feel comfortable with you and your service?

Speak the language of your prospects and you will have them buying into what you are saying. I am not telling you to learn a variety of languages – it is easier than that. Instead, wherever your prospects sound or look passionate whether sad or happy, literally take note of their vocabulary describing the situation by writing it down.

When you are ready to ask for the sale, whether verbally or in a written proposal, use vocabulary of your prospect vocabulary. They will recognize their words, that you were listening carefully and that you are trustworthy.

Using the vocabulary of your clientele is also an excellent technique for building business relationships. Your closing ratio will climb.

Tip #5: Thank everyone for their help and their time in every situation. Your sincere appreciation for their help will lead to further business from your clients and their referrals.

Building Websites for Multiple Sources of Income

Tuesday, December 23rd, 2008

Everyone has a passion or a hobby; they know more than the average person about their area of interest does. It really is of little consequence what your passion or hobby might be (up to a point). If you are interested in fishing, boating, skiing, sports, home improvement, flowers, gardens, decorating, cars, juggling balls, saving money, travel destinations or whatever. You can turn your passions into multiple streams of income.

One of the downsides average people face is they are way to busy just trying to survive. They do not have the time, energy or money to start their own business. I know this, because I have been one of these people for a couple of decades. I have grown tired of working of working toward someone elses dream. I have my own dreams and ambitions.

Then, one day I discovered how having a little niche that I knew about could free me from the night job. I was at first, intimidated by the internet and building websites. My kids knew more than I did. Therefore, I set a goal to learn as much as I could. Now my kids are asking me questions.

Creating websites that generate multiple streams of income is easier that I ever thought possible. Search engines love to find real information about every subject. That is what search engines do. They find the most in depth and most relevant results for any search inquiry.

The most successful websites are those that provide solutions. When people look for information, they are really looking for a solution. From catching more fish to growing a bigger pumpkin. If you can provide the answer that searchers are looking for, you can turn your area of interest or your niche into income. Even if, all you do is provide free information.

Once you have decided on a niche that you know well, it is worth the time and effort to find out if you can profit from your niche. There are online resources that are used to determine supply and demand for a niche. There are also resources that help evaluate the competition, as well as tools that help determine the profitability of a niche. After you have found that you have a solid idea, you can start building your own website. A home based business that you can do in your spare time.

One of my areas of interest is helping others. I have worked for companies that go out of their way to keep you broke and desperate, living paycheck to paycheck. Financial institutions prey on those hard working people that need a few extra bucks. The problem is, while there are a few people at the top, who are sitting fat. The vast majority of us wonder how we will ever retire.

In conclusion, building websites may not be the end all for most of us, but there are those who make a living from it. Just having a few multiple streams of income, can be enough to pay for some college. I will not list all the things that money can buy. The point is building websites has been a solid source of income that requires little investment with high returns.
